Launch Out Into the Deep is an inspirational, instructional journey through Bible stories, anecdotes of the writer’s and others’ lives, and spiritual instruction and admonishment.

Having read some of the greats of modern Christian literature, James Dobson, c.s. Lewis, John Ortberg and John and Staci Eldrige, I found this book lacking in the deep spiritual insights and cohesive counsel of more mature writers.

However, for the seeker, for the new believer, for those who would like to get to know the heart of God a little better, this book is a good place to start. The author uses a conversational style, relating her own experiences and those of friends and family as they move through their various spiritual journeys. She speaks often to young men and women about their sexuality and the proper approach to Christian dating and relationships. She addresses a Christian’s identity in relation to God as a beloved, valued individual.

 

Launch would be a nice gift for the believing young person in your life.
