Flight of the Gryphon

By Ann Durand

Double Dragon Publishing

ISBN-10: 1-55404-451-0

ISBN-13: 978-1-55404-451-1

It has been a long time since I have been captivated by descriptive details and characters so strong and complex that Ann Durand’s Flight of the Gryphon was a true reading pleasure. Her Sci-fi/fantasy, with elements of romance and graphic violence, literally brings you into the world Ann has so vividly painted.

Right from the beginning we are caught up with an emotional good-bye between two sisters. This sets the pace of how this world’s mentality and thinking process works. I have to admit parts of the story came into a better light and understanding as I continued reading. The author’s style of writing reminded me of the book The Clan of the Cave Bear, where that particular world, clan activities,  romantic liaisons, and need for survival were so vivid you couldn’t help but feel each character’s strong existence.

If you are a fan of futuristic worlds, sci-fi, fantasy, with a romantic pull, then Flight of the Gryphon by Ann Durand is definitely a book to mark down as a MUST READ and GREAT READ.
